AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our After School Program is the heart of Waypoint.
Since 2018, we have strived to provide a safe, enriching environment for youth, no matter whether it’s in the evening, after school, or during summer break when school is out.
Focused on academic support, recreation, socialization, and personal growth, this program combines homework help, STEM activities, arts, sports, and life-skills workshops.
SUMMER PROGRAM
Waypoint’s Summer Program gives youth a place to connect, have fun, and make the most of their summer break.
Our goal is simple: to give youth a fun, engaging summer where they can stay active, try new things, connect with one another, and enjoy meaningful experiences both at Waypoint and throughout the community.
THE OUTPOST
The Outpost is Waypoint’s flagship workforce development program, truly second to none and virtually unheard of in youth initiatives.
Located along the scenic Youghiogheny River Trail in West Newton, The Outpost is a thriving youth-run riverside eatery serving fresh smash burgers, wings, fries, specialty shakes, and more.

FOOD TRUCK PROGRAM
Our Food Truck brings the #1 Classic Smashburger/Outpost experience on the road.
Manned by our MVP Outpost crew, an elite team of proven interns who have excelled at The Outpost, the Waypoint Food Truck serves up fresh smash burgers and crispy fries to events, festivals, markets, and community gatherings across the region.
COMPASS PROGRAM
Compass is our resiliency and self-authoring initiative, woven into every program.
Developed in response to the challenges many youth faced during and after the pandemic, Compass helps young people build emotional strength, reflect on their personal story, set meaningful goals, and take ownership of their future.
