Training Program
Economic Discoveries and Growth through Experiential Education, (EDGE) is our premier next-level entrepreneurial training program for motivated young adults ages 18–24. Born directly out of the success of our flagship Outpost program, EDGE takes the real-world skills learned at the riverside eatery and elevates them.
Each season, we select 6 interns to take full ownership of running their own business from the ground up.

Using a Montessori-inspired coaching framework, participants work side-by-side with a dedicated coach/guide to shape and lead the business exactly as they envision it.
We hand them a fully operational business, handle payroll and provide a financial safety net, and offer ongoing feedback and mentorship. This allows interns to experience the real highs and lows of small business ownership — with guidance and protection — for 7 months each season (April–October).
EDGE interns develop advanced skills in business planning, operations, team leadership, customer experience, financial management, problem-solving, and resilience.
Career Exploration
Waypoint is passionate about helping students prepare for their futures through meaningful career development and workforce opportunities.
We provide hands-on opportunities for career exploration by connecting students with skilled mentors, vocational training sessions, leadership development, and real-world work experience. Through programs like our student-operated food service initiatives and workforce development opportunities, students gain practical skills, confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and exposure to potential career paths.
Our goal is not only to help young people dream about their futures, but to equip them with the tools, experiences, and support needed to pursue those dreams with confidence.
We believe every student deserves opportunities to discover their strengths, develop valuable life skills, and realize their God-given potential.
